Plant
(phyto) sterols and sterolins are plant
"fats" present in all fruits
and vegetables. They are biologically
active molecules isolated from plants
called "phytochemicals" that
have been clinically proven to
significantly modulate the effects of
the immune system. Following ingestion,
sterols are found in the tissues of
healthy people. The sterolins (glucosides)
"activate" the sterols. Both
are needed and work together to enhance

consist of 50-75 % raw (uncooked) foods.

from intact sterols and sterolins along
with essential enzymes, vitamins, and
minerals. Slicing, grating, and juicing
fresh plant material does not affect the
sterols, but modern food processing
does. The texture, appearance, or "saleability"

Immune enhancement
Phytosterols and sterolins modulate the
function of T-cells. T-cells are white
blood cells produced by the Thymus
gland, which is a major component of the
immune system. T-cells specialize in
fighting viruses and certain types of
bacteria which live inside the cells.
Researchers are convinced that
phytosterols and sterolins enhance
T-cell function. One type of T-cell (the
Helper Cell) excretes proteins that
regulate the immune system. Helper
T-cells are divided into two types. Type
TH-1 and Type TH-2. These cells must
remain in a delicate balance at all
times for the body to remain healthy. An
immune system that is not functioning
properly is consistently low in T-cells
and other chemicals. When the TH-1 cells
are deficient, such things as infection,
chronic inflammation, and ultimately,
tissue damaging disease will result. In
double blind studies, sterols and
sterolins have been shown to
significantly enhance the proliferation
of the CD-4 TH-1 cells and to increase
the production of the "lymphokines"
Interlukin 2 (IL2) and Gamma-interferon
(IFN-g and IFN-y).*
Reducing Autoimmune response
Our body's immune system is like a
production line in a factory. Every step
in the process is dependent on every
other step. Illness, viruses, and
infections create an imbalance by
suppressing our TH-1 cells. TH-1 cells
control the TH-2 cell's release of
chemicals (IL4, IL6, and IL10), which
enhance the activity of B-cells. B-cells
produce antibodies that attack invaders
outside the cell walls. Overactive
B-cells are thought to be responsible
for debilitating and chronic autoimmune
disorders such as Rheumatoid Arthritis,
Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis (MS),
Myasthenia Gravis (MG), allergies,
asthma, and many others. Studies have
shown that a pro-inflammatory IL6 and
TNF-a chemicals produced by the TH-2
cells are "switched off" when
the cells are cultured in the
phytosterols and sterolins such as those
in RevivAllTM Classic.
Scientists monitoring the tests of
phytosterols and sterolins believe that
plant fats have the ability to actually
"turn off" the factors that
can initiate the inflammatory process.
Dr. Chris Morris, N.D., says that he
uses sterols and sterolins to support
his patient¹s endocrine systems because
plant fats are especially useful for
treating autoimmune diseases which cause
metabolic breakdowns.
Symptoms responding to Phytosterols
and Sterolins*
Studies show response by patients with a
number of immune dysfunctions including
chronic fatigue, MS, and diabetes. The
discoverer of HIV, Luc Montagnier, now
advocates the use of phytosterols and
sterolins in conjunction with antiviral

as well as some on going studies
indicate phytosterols and sterolins

Plant fats can protect bone marrow that
may be damaged by chemotherapy. Sterols
and sterolins are precursors to
pregnenolone and DHEA. It is believed
that supplementation with sterols and
sterolins may have positive long term
effects by increasing DHEA levels in the

Malignancies: Phytosterols and
sterolins may block the development of
tumors in the colon, breast, and
prostate glands by altering cell
membrane transfer in tumor growth.
Studies indicate that after five days,
breast cancer cell cultures supplemented
with B-sitosterol had 66% fewer breast
cancer cells than controls. Another
study showed a 28% inhibition of
prostate cancer cell growth after being
exposed to B-sitosterol for five days in
vitro. "When we treated prostate
cancer cells with phytosterols, cell
proliferation was inhibited. We found
the same effect in vitro with breast and

where chronic inflammation is present.
