Introduction
Tribulus Terrestris
is an extremely adaptable plant that flourishes in the moderate
climates of Eastern Europe. An herb is extracted from the
pharmaceutically-rich, aerial parts of the plant and used
throughout the world as a natural nutritional supplement with
bio-stimulatory properties. The herb is ecologically pure
and over several decades of clinical testing has been proven
effective in enhancing energy and vitality, with no
contraindications.
Tribulus
Terrestris is marketed under the name Trilovin in Europe, Asia
and the United States. Trilovin has many properties,
including a pharmacological effect on the human reproductive
system and on sexual desire and performance in both men and
women.
From 1998 to 2000
a clinical study of Trilovin was conducted for the purpose of
treating sexual dysfunction and infertility. Trilovin has
a considerable effect on the serum levels of the luteinizing
hormone (LH) and the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).
Additionally, Trilovin increase the concentration of the
androgen, testosterone. The advantage of Trilovin over the
administration of testosterone itself is Trilovin's lack of
secondary inhibition of androgen production and the consequent
risk of inducing prostate carcinoma.
