 Our
beta-carotene is 100% natural. Be careful of
product labeling in beta-carotene supplements.
Many companies use synthetic beta-carotene, but
declare that the product is…"a natural
precursor to vitamin A". The statement that
beta-carotene is a precursor to vitamin A is true
whether the product in the bottle is natural or
synthetic. The statements are placed there to
mislead you. Synthetic beta-carotene is
significantly less expensive (and less effective)
than natural beta-carotene. If the product does
not claim to be 100% natural beta-carotene on the
label, you should be cautious. Although companies
producing synthetic vitamins are quick to point
out that they appear the same under a microscope,
this is not exactly true. The optical rotation is
usually different and the molecular structure is
often the mirror image of the natural nutrient.
Furthermore, synthetics do not contain the
micronutrient synergistic factors that are found
in nature with a given nutrient. For this reason,
as with our other products, we only supply natural
nutrients.
